Illinois Supreme Court Decision: Another Victory For The Second Amendment


It's disturbing to have to report on "another victory for the Second Amendment," but unfortunately it's the kind of warped environment we find ourselves in these days. Nevertheless, two weeks ago the Illinois Supreme Court reversed a trial court's dismissal of a lawsuit challenging Cook County's "assault weapons" ordinance. The ordinance banned commonly owned and widely used semi-automatic assault weapons including modern sporting rifles. National Shooting Sports Foundation





"Stand Your Ground' laws" Not Just Republican Policy

In light of the Travon Martin shooting, you might believe only Republicans created and supported the law. The facts are otherwise. In Florida, "Stand Your Ground" was  supported by all Florida Senate Democrats (one Democrat missed the vote). The law passed in the Florida Senate by a vote of 39-0. The Florida House vote was 92-20 with twelve Democrats voting in the affirmative. Daily Caller



Washington State Gun Sales Shoot Up 60% From Monthly Average
